Frequently Asked Questions

Answers about using TreatCheck, interpreting food-safety guidance, supported animals, privacy, subscriptions, and getting help.

Using TreatCheck

TreatCheck provides species-specific food guidance based on the pet details you enter. It is an educational tool and is not a substitute for professional veterinary advice.

The Food Fingerprint Scanner lets you photograph a dish or ingredient and identifies likely ingredients to check against your pet's profile. Barcode scanning checks packaged food ingredients before you offer them to your pet.

When to contact a vet

If your pet has eaten something potentially harmful or is showing symptoms, contact your vet or an emergency veterinary practice immediately. Do not wait for a TreatCheck result when urgent care is needed.
